【Call for applications】SOKENDAI Students’ Seminar on English Presentation Skills 2016 Deadline: April 30th, 2016
For decades, the SOKENDAI (The Graduate University for Advanced Studies) and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) jointly organize the “JSPS Summer Program,” in which more than 100 of young researchers from six countries (the US, the UK, France, Germany, Canada and Sweden) come together at Hayama for the orientation, in the first week of the program. Embracing this opportunity, the SOKENDAI offers “Students’ Seminar on “Students’ Seminar on English Presentation Skills” to our students. Comments from last year’s participants are:
“I wasn’t good at making a presentation in front of people, but through this seminar, I gradually became confident. By the end of the seminar, particularly at the poster-presentation with JSPS fellows, I was amazed to find myself enjoying, being confident with a sense of fulfillment.”
“My academic advisor, who doesn’t usually give us a compliment, told me that my presentation was great! That gave me tremendous confidence! Too good to miss this opportunity, meeting and interacting with JSPS fellows!”
The deadline for application has been extended to Friday, May 13. We still have some room for a few more students. Please be a part of this special Student’s Seminar on English Presentation Skills in Hayama in this June!
The application period for the SOKENDAI Students’ Seminar on English Presentation Skills 2016 will close on Saturday, April 30th. Depending on the number of students applying in the next couple of days, we may not be able to guarantee your registration for the seminar. Thank you! Sayaka Uchikawa
